Start a New Organization

All student organizations must complete the registration process to be officially recognized on campus and are required to attend Student Organization Training.

Applications for new student organizations seeking to begin in the Fall semester are accepted from April 20 through May 1. Organizations wishing to begin in the Spring semester may apply between November 20 and December 1.

Necessary Steps

To start a new student organization/club at Â鶹AV, follow the steps below.

  1. Always check the of student organizations to make sure your organization is original; we do not want to duplicate any pre-existing organizations.
  2. Select an advisor for your organization. Make sure they are aware of the organization's goals and purpose. The advisor must be Â鶹AV Staff or Faculty.
  3. Write constitution and bylaws with the help of your advisor.
  4. Review and complete the .
  5. After submission, the president will get an email from the SLE Student Organization Coordinator to complete the next steps. Please allow 5-7 business days for a response.
  6. After your organization is approved, the president will choose a date to attend Student Organization Training that is offered by the Student Leadership & Organizations Office.
