On-Campus Injuries
Injuries that happen on campus need to be reported to Student Health Services. The
following procedure is for students who are injured but have not been exposed to an infected person’s blood/body fluids.
Examples of Injuries to be Reported
- Injury from falls
- Cuts from broken glass of test tubes or other glass containers
- Lab injuries not involving patient fluids/specimens, etc.
- Chemical splashes into eyes or on skin
If you have been exposed to blood or bodily fluids, please refer to Blood/Biohazard Exposure.
What to do if you are Injured on Campus
If you are an AU student and have been injured on campus, please do the following:
- If the injury is serious, call Campus Police at 706-721-2911 and 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
- Contact Student Health Services at 706-721-3448
- Complete the Âé¶¹AV
- Submit the form to Student Health Services at studenthealth@augusta.edu or bring it by the Student Health Clinic on the Health Science Campus at 1465 Laney-Walker
Blvd., Pavilion II, Bldg AF-1040.
