These Â鶹AV students welcome groups, give practical directions, share a student perspective, and connect new Jaguars and their supporters with the right campus staff.
The Orientation Leader (OL) program is planned, hosted, and executed by the Office of New Student & Family Transitions.

OL Programming Role
What it looks like:
Orientation Leaders (OLs) help the team keep students informed and moving in the right direction. The work includes:
- reviewing the day’s plan and updates with NSFT staff;
- welcoming students, families, and supporters;
- leading a group from one part of the program to the next;
- explaining what happens next in clear, practical language;
- sharing an honest student perspective without guessing; and
- bringing questions to the staff member or campus office that can answer them.

The application to join the 2027 Orientation Leader team is open!
Applications are due by October 9th at 11:59pm.
Eligibilty Requirements
- Full-time student at Â鶹AV from August 2026- August 2027
- Attend manatory Orientation Leader Welcome November 22, 2026 @7pm
- Avaliable to take LDRS 2000 in Spring 2026
- Minimum 2.75 GPA
- Must be in good standing with academic college and Â鶹AV
- Must be able to pass a background check
