Graduate Programs

The Georgia Cancer Center is advancing public, patient, and professional education and cancer-related training throughout the enterprise and in the community it serves in several important ways.

The Georgia Cancer Center strives to advance the field by training the next generation of physicians and scientists in oncology. The Cancer Center is an active participant in Â鶹AV  University training programs, from graduate programs to postdoctoral training in both research and clinical care. Committed to the future workforce of cancer researchers and clinicians, the Georgia Cancer Center is involved in leading two PhD graduate and two medical fellowship programs.

All students and trainees enrolled in these programs are considered to be Emerging Biomedical Professionals (EBPs) and are welcome to participate in various EBP programming.

Graduate Research Day

For more than 35 years, Graduate Research Day has allowed students to receive feedback on their work and sharpen their presentation skills before presenting at national meetings. Their research spans a variety of topics ranging from the biomedical sciences to education to psychology. Presentations are judged by faculty and awards are presented by The Graduate School and participating programs and colleges.

To help facilitate this, our graduate faculty members are selected based on experience in research, scholarship and education. They are drawn from the faculties of Â鶹AV University’s College of Allied Health Sciences, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Hull College of Business, Dental College of Georgia, College of Education, College of Science and Mathematics, College of Nursing, School of Computer & Cyber Sciences and the Medical College of Georgia. Class sizes are small, and the faculty excels in cultivating and modeling supportive, collegial and professional relationships with students.
