Outdoor Recreation at Â鶹AV provides high-quality, experiential programs that support student leadership, personal development, and lifelong wellness. Our mission focuses on engaging students through hands-on outdoor experiences that promote teamwork, skill building, and environmental stewardship, while collaborating with academic programs, student organizations, and campus partners. The Center for Outdoor Recreation and Education (The CORE) offers outdoor gear rentals—including bikes, kayaks, and camping equipment—along with a professionally staffed climbing tower and challenge course. Students can participate in guided trips, workshops, and events designed for all experience levels.
In addition to student programming, Outdoor Recreation also offers facility rentals
for community groups, organizations, and external partners seeking team-building programs,
trainings, or special events on the challenge course and climbing tower. Our experienced
staff are committed to providing safe, engaging, and well-structured outdoor recreation
experiences for both students and the greater Â鶹AV community!
