Ophthalmology Grand Rounds
Grand Rounds are held monthly on ( Third) Thursdays from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. virtually via Zoom. The Grand Rounds in Ophthalmology series will feature interesting and thought-provoking topics, presented by accomplished clinicians and scientists, in an hour long format that includes a traditional lecture followed by interactive Q&A. The content will be current and wide ranging with the goal being to promote stimulating dialogue and the exchange of ideas related to vision discovery and patient care.
Title: AI in Health Care
Jeffery Talbert, PhD is Professor and Department Chair for AI and Health at the
Medical College of Georgia at Â鶹AV. He was formerly the Division Chief
for Biomedical Informatics at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and
Associate Director of the UK Center for Clinical and Translational Science. His
research specialization is public health informatics focused on the intersection of
evidence-based policy and health care outcomes. Current research projects focus on
developing multimodal data resources for AI applications and using machine learning
to forecast substance use disorder outcomes.
