Dr. Henry Moon, as the Director of the Educational Innovation Institute (EII)
The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Âé¶čAV is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Henry Moon, as the Director of the Educational Innovation Institute (EII).
In this role, Dr. Moon will provide strategic leadership for the Instituteâs mission to advance innovation, scholarship, research, and excellence in medical education. His leadership will further strengthen EIIâs efforts to support students, faculty, and educational programs through evidence-informed practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative approaches to health professions education.
Dr. Moon brings valuable expertise and experience to the position and will work closely with faculty, researchers, educational leaders, and institutional partners to expand educational innovation and research across MCG.
The EII looks forward to Dr. Moonâs leadership as the Institute continues to foster a culture of educational excellence, scholarly inquiry, collaboration, and continuous improvement in medical education.

Advancing Innovation & Scholarship
Join colleagues across MCG for the Medical Education Grand Rounds, an academic forum designed to showcase cutting-edge innovations in research and curriculum while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to advance excellence in teaching and learning. This series is organized by the MCG Office for Faculty Development (Educational Innovation Institute).
Our next session will focus on âRural Surgery Simulation Curriculum Development: Needs Assessment, Design, and Deployment,â and will be presented by Erika Mabes, DO, FACS, virtually on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 12:00 PM. This distinguished series is tailored for faculty, educators, physicians, fellows, and residents, with CME credits available. Medical Education Research Showcase
Call For Abstract Synopsis Or One-Slide Poster
This is an invitation to participate in the Medical Education Research Showcase, organized by the Educational Innovation Institute (EII) and scheduled for Thursday, December 3, 2026.
The showcase will be held virtually and will provide faculty with the opportunity to present their conference scholarship to MCG peers. This event will feature brief, high-impact presentations that highlight research, educational scholarship, and evidence-based practices.
Kindly a one-slide poster or abstract synopsis. Submission will close on Friday, October 23, 2026. Please see the below flyer for more information. We look forward to having you join colleagues from across the institution for what promises to be an engaging and intellectually enriching experience.
