Through engaging sessions held across our campuses and virtually, you'll discover key resources, meet fellow Jags, and gain essential knowledge about AU’s culture, traditions, and support systems. This track reflects the university's commitment to cultivating a welcoming educational environment that prepares our employees to thrive in their perspective roles.

Uncover your unique personality strengths and explore how to use them to improve communication, collaboration, and leadership within academic environments. Designed for faculty and staff, this course applies the True Colors framework to foster greater self-awareness, enhance team dynamics, and support welcoming practices that contribute to student success and a positive campus culture.

This interactive course provides faculty, staff, and students with a foundational understanding of Âé¶¹AV’s institutional identity, culture, and communication norms. Participants will explore the university’s history, mission, values, and organizational structure while learning to navigate the unique terminology, acronyms, and traditions that shape the campus experience. Through guided discussions and activities, the course also examines community expectations, inclusive practices, and key resources that support belonging and success at Âé¶¹AV.

Get to know Âé¶¹AV from the ground up with Jaguar Journey, an engaging and interactive walking tour of both the Summerville and Health Sciences campuses. Designed for new employees, this in-person experience offers a unique opportunity to explore key locations, learn about campus history, and discover valuable resources available to faculty and staff. Comfortable shoes encouraged—this is where your AU journey takes its first steps!

This course explores the dynamic interplay of intergenerational demographics in the workplace. Participants will gain insights into how varying generational experiences shape workplace interactions and learn strategies for building meaningful connections. Through a panel discussion featuring Âé¶¹AV faculty and staff, attendees will hear real-life experiences and practical approaches to fostering a culture of belonging.
